McClory portrayed the Irishman Jack McGivern in NBC’s The Californians, set in the San Francisco gold rush of the 1850s. It aired from 1957-1959. His costars included Herbert Rudley and Adam Kennedy, the latter as newspaperman Dion Patrick.

He also appeared twice in the short-lived 1960 NBC western series, Overland Trail, starring William Bendix and Doug McClure. He appeared in an episode from the second season of Lost In Space called “The Astral Traveler”, as a bagpiping “ghostie” named Hamish.
